Iveragh Peninsula Tour
With views out to the Skellig Islands from its rugged Atlantic coastline, the Iveragh Peninsula is famous for the “Ring of Kerry” which is a 111 mile circuit of the peninsula. Although an absolutely fabulous road trip with stunning locations and vistas, I personally don’t find it makes for a great day out with the camera. Over the years I’ve discovered so many other interesting places and superb locations that are to be found, not far away from the main road that forms the Ring of Kerry. In following these narrow roads and tracks that wind their way about the peninsula, we discover excellent locations for sightseeing and photography including an absolute wealth of antiquities, coastal views and outstanding landscapes.
Key things to know:
- Available from April – September
- Explore back roads that lead into remote valleys or meander down towards the ocean, leading to small rocky coves or sandy beaches
- Discover spectacular castles and abbeys, as well as atmospheric abandoned farmhouses
- Capture incredible landscapes over the rolling hills and along the Wild Atlantic Way
- Bring along any camera or phone and receive expert tuition, guidance, and tips on how to improve your photography
- All locations on this tour are easily accessible using paths directly from the minibus and there's no strenuous walking or climbing
