Photography Holidays and Weekends at An Portan Guest House

Our photography holidays and weekends are based at An Portan Guest House in Dunquin, County Kerry, and include room, breakfast and three course evening meal.   An Portan Guest House is a superb venue with its very own restaurant, coffee shop and conference centre, and your hosts, Ronan and Geraldine, will ensure that you will be well looked after during your stay. The Restaurant in An Portan serves an extensive breakfast menu. A la carte evening dishes are prepared using locally sourced produce and the menu includes seafood and vegetarian options. The rooms are appointed in a courtyard style and each ground floor room includes an en suite bathroom, hairdryer, TV, radio, and tea/coffee making facilities with full WiFi access.

Based at the very heart of Dunquin on the Slea Head Drive and Wild Atlantic Way, An Portan guest House is a fantastic base from which to explore the local area and experience the stunning views of the Blasket Islands and rural farmland from its easily accessible cliff and hillside paths. The area is also famous for the location of the David Lean film “Ryan’s Daughter“, which put the Dingle Peninsula firmly on the map during the late 1960s, “Far and Away” filmed here in 1992 and more recently “Star Wars” using locations on Sybil Head and Dunmore Head during 2016.
