We’ll also experiment with a range of creative apps for smartphones, filters and take look at editing and post processing to give a finishing touch to our images.

Gain the confidence to come away from your cameras automatic settings and begin to make the creative decisions about how you take a photograph.

Over the duration of the class we fully explore the creative controls of your camera and also examine and manage some of the more  technical settings and facilities of your camera.

Once we understand the basics we’ll begin to explore a range of scenarios and subjects including scenic & landscape, nature, still life, people and close up where we’ll look at more specialised lenses, techniques and filters.  We’ll also look at flash, studio and light box photography.

Photo editing using a number of free and paid applications including Photoshop, Lightroom and Rawtherapee that enable us to bring out the very best from an image and really give them a great finishing touch.

The Thursday class is always a repeat of the earlier Saturday class, with the same subjects and topics covered.  If you can’t make a particular class you’re  welcome to join the alternative class on the earlier Saturday or following Thursday!

During any photography expeditions we make around the Dingle Peninsula, all the locations we visit are easily accessible with a short walk using paths, tracks or reasonably level ground from where we park.

During the first class, the date of the next class will be confirmed and also emailed & texted to everyone in the class.  There will be 8 sessions for each class up to the end of March, but exact dates will be confirmed on a week to week basis. Each class will begin in Dingle at a prearranged meeting point, any changes to times or locations will be announced via text or email.  Weather and light conditions permitting we’ll head outside for a while to put what we’re learning into practice with different subjects, either around the town, or if we’re covering scenic and nature photography, perhaps slightly further afield.
